The quote is the rate. snow.ca does not bid low and upsell mid-season, does not run "promo rate expires in 24 hours" pressure, and does not lock prices behind a phone-tree negotiation. Enter your postal code at /quote and you get the real number online.

Questions, answered.
Why don't you list a single fixed price per service?
Snow-removal pricing is a function of seven variables: property size, driveway shape and slope (a straight 9 m driveway is one push; a U-shape with attached garage is three), walkway scope, ice-melt requirement, your city's storm frequency (St. John's sees ~24 storms/year, Toronto ~14, Vancouver ~6), response SLA tier, and contract structure (per-visit vs seasonal flat vs commercial monthly). A single fixed price across all properties either over-charges small jobs to subsidise large ones, or under-prices large jobs and creates mid-season pressure to upsell to keep the route profitable — which is exactly what we want to avoid. The quote tool at /quote takes all seven variables, runs the city-specific storm-frequency model, satellite-verifies your stated dimensions, and returns the real number for your specific property within one business day. The quote you receive is the rate you pay all season.
What information do I need to get a quote?
For residential: your address (the postal code determines local depot dispatch routing and city storm frequency), driveway dimensions (or just confirm single-car / two-car / extended), and any add-ons (pet-safe ice melt for hospital-adjacent properties, rear deck, side gate, stairs). The quote tool satellite-verifies your stated driveway from the address if you skip the dimensions step. For commercial: property address, total square feet of cleared surface (paved area, not lot acreage), walkway linear metres, stair landing count, any specific SLA requirements (open-by time for retail, sub-2-hour response for hospitals, continuous monitoring for 24/7 facilities), and whether you need on-site snow stacking or off-site hauling. For municipal route tenders: the tender reference number from the originating procurement portal (MERX, SEAO, BC Bid, SaskTenders) and contact details for the procurement officer; we respond directly through the portal's response mechanism within the posted window.
Is the quote a contract?
No — the quote is a binding price for the service described, but you are not committed until you accept it. To book, you accept the quote and either pay (residential) or sign the contract (commercial / municipal). For single-visit residential, accept then pay by Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, or EFT bank transfer to confirm the booking; the crew is dispatched at the next storm trigger after payment clears. For seasonal residential plans, you sign a 1-page contract and pay the first month or season-start invoice (most customers pick season-start to lock the rate). For commercial, the quote becomes a 1–3 year contract with annual renewal options, Certificate of Insurance issued on signing, and net-30 billing on monthly cycles. snow.ca does not charge to provide quotes, and quotes are valid for 30 days from issue. If you accept a quote and conditions change (additional buildings added to the contract, scope expands mid-season), we re-quote the delta on the same /quote tool rather than amending the original contract.
How fast do you respond to a quote request?
Online quotes for residential and most commercial properties under 200,000 sq ft return within one business day, often within 4 hours during business hours (8 AM–6 PM ET, Monday–Friday). The quote tool runs satellite verification on the property dimensions to confirm what you entered, pulls the local depot's current SLA capacity, and prices against the city's storm-frequency model — all server-side, no operator intervention needed. For larger commercial properties (warehouses over 200,000 sq ft, big-box retail, hospital campuses, multi-building condo portfolios) and municipal tenders, a real rep replies same business day with a custom quote requiring a property walk or detailed scope review; the walk is typically scheduled within 5 business days. For storm-event emergency dispatch (not a routine quote — you have an active storm and need crews now) call 888-471-SNOW option 1 for immediate routing to the duty dispatcher; the line is staffed 24/7 during winter season.
